Organization Background

Unity for Humanity Organization (UHO) is a non-political, non-partisan, and independent women led non-profit organization established in 2019. It was officially registered with Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health in 2023 (Registration # 973) and with the Ministry of Economy (Registration No. 4858).

Founded by dedicated and skilled youth, UHO comprises individuals with higher education and extensive experience in public health, education, and social affairs. The organization's mission is to enhance the quality of health services while adhering to the Ministry of Public Health's standards and guidelines. Recognizing that education levels in Afghanistan are severely lacking, UHO is committed to supporting communities and youth in accessing quality education.

UHO is a collaborative effort among experienced public health specialists, trainers, volunteers, and researchers who have worked in technical and managerial roles with national and international NGOs and charitable organizations for over a decade. Our team possesses the dedication and expertise to contribute professionally to health and development systems, aiming for sustainable outcomes.

The core staff of UHO has over nine years of hands-on experience in developing policies related to health, education, and development. They have designed and implemented various service delivery projects, including Basic and Essential Packages of Health Services, Mobile Health and Nutrition Teams, food security initiatives, literacy programs, emergency response actions, and disaster risk reduction training. The team has also engaged in supervision, monitoring, evaluation, and research, producing various reports and presenting findings at community, organizational, national, and international levels.

UHO serves as a national advocate for high-quality, evidence-based public health practices. By leveraging its network of public health experts, UHO recognizes the pressing need for reforming Afghanistan's health system to ensure equitable access to preventive measures and high-quality health services for all Afghans.

Currently, UHO has a qualified staff across various departments, including Management, Medical, Education, Social Affairs, Technical, Administration/Finance, Operations, and Gender and Reproductive Health. UHO operates from a fully furnished main office in Kabul and a provincial office in Jalalabad, allowing access to all related provinces throughout the count
